I have some more that are still in parts, but these are the two journals/notebooks I've finished. It's these "chicken journals" that I made the black, red and white buttons for (see previous post). I'm still trying to think of things to sell: making these fabric covered journals, applying gesso transfers and filling with various papers and pockets. So far, I'm including a fabric pocket on the inside cover, to hold pens or notes. These take a lot of time to make, so I'm not sure how practical they are for selling, but [so far] they're fun to make.

Wonderful notebooks! love the black and white fabric and the buttons really pop against it!

These are so cute!!!! I love things with coordinated, but different fabrics. Also, I remember the free chickens on Kauai and those wonderful Claudia Rose chicken stamps.
I think people will fall for these.

joanne, is there anything you can't do? these are terrific! love the stitching around the roosters. your right about the practicality for labor intensive projects. people don't appreciate the time it took and it's hard to make your time up through charging for them!

Joanne,
You've hatched a great design with these! They would make great recipe journals.

For some reason, the messages are being sent twice. What's up with that?

Are you getting any sleep these days? It seems to me you've been very busy. These journals are very cool.
