LAST ARTISCAPE REPORT

Saturday night I met Jeanie and her friend Kate at the dinner (yay! I see a trip to Lansing for some playing in my future) and enjoyed a pleasant social evening. My Sunday classes were both very nice and full of useful info. I took a polymer class with Barbara McGuire (always a helpful, informative teacher) and had the joy of meeting and working next to Kari; When I finish my pieces, I'll post them. My second class was more soldering with Paula Hardesty, where I made the pendant below.  I drove back home last night and am headed to Chicago for a few days (going to meet up with Fran who is visiting from Phoenix while her husband attends a conference).Sassywingedgoddess

What a fun piece Joanne I love it!!!! and how wonderful you were able to meet Kari and others.

Joanne it was such a wonderful day on Sunday getting to enjoy a class together with you! Your reports are fabulous! I couldn't get the wireless or the aircard to work in my room, so I didn't have any success getting on line while there. Kudos to you for going the extra mile! All of your pieces turned out LOVELY! I love the papers the pendants the quilts and the soldered piece! You are so talented! ((And I truly adored those shoes!!!))

How neat you got to meet Kari, Lou and Linda. It sounds like you had some fun classes. You sure brought home some cool stuff. On the road again. Hope your having fun. Say hello to Fran. See you soon.

hey joanne! wish i was there at Artiscape. i had so much fun there last year. (or is it over by now?) but anyway... how was the new hotel where she had it this year? love this doll you made - so charming. the fibers add so much to it. nice job. thanks for all support - guess it's been a rough few weeks. i'm glad i had Artfest before i dealing with all that stuff. was kind of nice to think back on it when i was getting stressed out. anyway, though, i always appreciate your kind words and that you are thinking of me.

Sounds divine Joanne! I wish I could have attended Artiscape this year...maybe next year! It's so easy for me to get to that it's a shame to miss it. I always like the easy format of it...a relaxing atmosphere for an art retreat!
Tell Fran I said hi...I was hoping to get to meet her in Phoenix this summer, but it wasn't meant to be. That's for another year also. I guess it's good to always have something to look forward to. Have fun!
hugs, Andi

This a terrific Joanne- a soldered doll! Enjoy Chicago!

This is so cool. I really have to work, but had fun reading your reports and look forward to more!

Hope your trip back was a good and safe one.

I so enjoyed meeting you (and the whole Kalamazoo contingent!) and hope we are able to get together again in the future. Kate had fun, too, meeting all of you!

More later, but it was terrific and I love all the work you did in your classes!
