SUMMER BLESSINGS
With strange weather all across the country (OK, Nature, we get; we're not in charge), it's nice to know that there are occasional delightful summer evenings to be enjoyed. Last week I saw my first fireflies (they've probably been out longer than that, as I'm a very unobservant naturalist). Between our midwest storms, we've enjoyed some beautiful bits of summer weather. I decided to make a digital collage in appreciation of beautiful summer evenings.

Joanne, I love your "Summer Moon" piece - very ethereal and cooling on this hot, muggy summer Saturday night in Alabama!
hugs,
jackie

This is beautiful. I love the ionic columns.

Gorgeous piece, Joanne! It reminds me of a summer night in a place like Savannah or New Orleans. We have lots of fireflies, and I love them. Here in the south, many people call them lightning bugs, but I like the sound of fireflies.

Your summer evening is beautiful. The colors are deep and rich. I've only seen fireflies years ago when I was visiting Ohio. We just have regular flies in CA.
