I made this digital collage and wrote this poem in response to the immeasurable sorrow I felt upon hearing of the death of the child of an acquaintance. We are not supposed to outlive our children and I can't even begin to know how people deal with the cosmic injustice of having them die before we do. I know that we all have stones of sorrow in our hearts and that we must learn to live with them and to make sure that they compress and allow room for joys. I wanted to make a piece of art that honors the depth of sorrow, but does not close out the possibility of the sorrow becoming bearable.
i REALLY like this! this looks like a card that would be depicting an event or something! could you send this to me as a postcard so i can hang it in my studio? don't know if you still have my address or not

An event such as this is impossible to comprehend; nevertheless, your commemoration is lovely and touching.
