Today, I took Cathy Taylor's Anthologies class. I was really looking forward to it and I was not disappointed. Cathy showed us how to fearlessly rip apart books to make collages. There was a palpable creative energy in this class. Everyone made great collages.
Here's a photo of my friend Andi watching Cathy's first demonstration.
The next two photos are of my component pieces ready to be put in collages.
This is the first collage I made.
This is my second one.
This is my third collage - not yet finished, but nearly complete.
I just read your daily experiences at A&S backwards so I'm commenting on this post. Love your work and the fact you took photos of everything and posted! I especially like your paper quilts, what a fun looking class.

It's very comforting to know that I have a kindred spirit in "Can't/Won't?/Doesn't follow instructions". lol. Looks like you had a fantastic time at A&S. I love your paper quilts - particularly the one with the quill pen and "ink blotches". And the Anthologies pieces are so very cool!!!

Good lord, I just re-read my previous message. I can't believe all the typos in it. Forgive me. It's been a rough day and I'm dead on my feet.
