As you may know from my previous post, my necklace from the necklace round robin went rogue and ran off to who knows where. After a short period of mourning, I decided to plunge in and start another one. Instead of re-using the theme "the goddess within" (since the goddess didn't stay within and decided to take a hike), I changed the theme to "magical delights." I decided to use a mermaid as my focal point (see the relationship between a mermaid and "plunging in" with a new necklace?) and some "earthy" buttons that I got at last year's Bead and Button Show, rhinestone chain, and a chain of metal disks. I hope my mermaid finds her way back to me after she leaves home this week-end.
I REALLY like that mermaid!

I'm sorry that happened to you. That just stinks when you send an art baby out into the world and due to someone else's issues it doesn't get cared for with love and concern.
But lucky you that you can dip in your well of awesome creativty to come up with this awesome piece!

I'm so sorry that your first necklace went missing. I was in a RR a few years ago and 1 book went awol for 6 months! (between the person before me and myself)It finally appeared at my door in a new box. With an address from USPS. But we never did find out what happened.....
I hope that you're getting the fab weather that we're having!

Sorry that your first necklace turned up missing, but your mermaid necklace is off to a good start. I love mermaids and the one you chose for this piece is really lovely.

This is amazing just as it is. Your choice of buttons and beads is fabulous. I will enjoy watching where it goes from here. (Hopefully this one will not go missing!)

That sucks that the first necklace went missing. I know all too well how that feels. Your second necklace is very cool.
