Penny, the metal block is called a "dapping block".

Penny

Where did you get the metal block that has the different sized indentations for making the domed caps? Does it have a name? Many thanks!

Joanne..what a fun project. I need to find a source for a box of bottle caps. I've gone thru the box I had. Years ago, every summer I made and bottled my own root beer.
Can't wait to see what you do with your beads. Elaine

These are wonderful, JoAnne. I saw this article, but your description makes it so clear!

Four star!

That was a great tutorial. Thanks, Joanne. These are very cool and different than I expected. I look forward to seeing them in person.

Kris

What a fun project!

Marie

Hmm I am thinking you could smoosh a bit of tinfoil and get to the same place? Although you might not have as much fun with your dapping block along the way :-))

angie platten

They are terrific! And, in your case, making a few more actually means a few HUNDRED more... you are like a production line!

Judy Streger

Can't wait to see what you make with these.
