Altered paintbrushes have been popping up on Pintrest and some of my art friends decided to do an altered paintbrush swap. It's a make2/get 2 swap. I made two extra because I had the brushes and I can keep two for myself.
First, I covered the paintbrushes with gesso.
I decided that I wanted to make paintbrush dolls; so I added spakley paint and heads/
After I gave them heads, I decided they looked like angels. I added wings, drew in some sleeves and hands, and added some glitter to the bottom of their skirts (I also gave the bald one some hair).
you are up to so many amazing things joanne!! love these whimsical paintbrushes!! i loved kathy mcelroy's so much i bought 2 from her store....you must be in a swap with her!?

Love these Joanne. I picked up some old brushes to try and create with. Seems like the craze right now and I love it.

I love these more than I can say. Now this would be a fun class to do/teach/attend. Think about it!

So Clever. I have seen mini journals made from paint brushes, but never angels.

This is now officially on my "to do" list of things to make. I hope you don't mind if I pin these beauties on one of my boards.

Oh, these are very lovely. I've made altered paintbrush figures in the past... but I always had the brush at the top (for sticking up hair). I like your way better :). I really like those arms and hands!

So cute Joanne! They are so sweet. I love how their little hands go down on their hips. How great you got to use your drawing on them.
