I decided that since I would be flying across the Pacific to go to Japan, I would stop off in Kauai to visit my friend Connie. She picked me up at the airport and spent two and a half days taking me around and showing me the sights of her beautiful island (best tour guide ever!).
We went to the Hindu Center.
She hunted down accessable waterfalls for me to photograph.
We had a great visit. We talked; we laughed; we ate; she showed me some of her beautiful leather purses and her cool jewelery tools; we had a lot of fun. And, She introduced me to Hawaiian Shave Ice. Yummy!
What a fun trip Joanne! Your photos remind me of the wonderful time I had while there (Hi Connie!), and make me long to go back. I remember that beautiful waterfall. There were artists painting at the top where you park- were they still there?
Glad you had such a great time!

Again, gorgeous photos and that ice looks so wonderful. Would loved to have had one yesterday and today as it was in the 90's and humid here in MA. You have certainly seen so many beautiful areas of our and other countries. Happy for you. :-)

Gorgerous scenery...and the Hindu center looks like it had some lovely statues... Was it hot?

Oh, those waterfalls! And the scenery! And the shaved ice (I love it!) -- what's better than doing all that with a friend!
