I have been taking DJ Pettitt's on line class Memories and Manipulations for Photo Shop.
I have been working on making my own brushes and using masks (I feel comfortable with making and using my own brushes; but I still need lots of practice with masks). Below are 3 of the pieces I've made while taking the class.
I am not 100% sure, but I think attesa means waiting in Italian (I took the photo of the bicycle in Italy; so I wanted to write in Italian).
I am going to take DJ Pettitt's on line photoshop class starting January 4 and I decided to start taking some photos of things that might work in digital collages. Last night my friend Catherine and I went to the mall to check out Christmas shopping and shoppers, take some photos and enjoy dinner at the food court. We had a great time, although we had to abandon our plans to get our photos taken with Santa because the line was incredibly long.
Below are some of the photos I took that I thought would make interesting patterns, components and/or backgrounds.
I am currently in Cape Girardeau, happily being with my husband for 10 days, but sadly away from my studio. So, to prevent total art withdrawal, I played with digital art today.
It is less than a week ago that I was in Birmingham for painting classes with DJ Pettitt and wire wrapping with Deryn Mentock. So, I decided to try to combine some of my painting with some photos in Photoshop. I took a photo of one of the formative steps in the face I painted with DJ's instructions (I wanted to use an unfinished face because I wanted to do "sketchy" things with it). You can find the original photo in one of my previous posts).
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these, but here are the two I worked on today (after we got back from 3 days in Memphis, which is, by the way, killer hot).
