EVERY INCHIE MONDAY~ RHYTHM

The word for this week is rhythm. I thought about "the rhythm of the dance" and the rhythm I get into when sewing a project. I merged the two thoughts by using a piece of fabric paper (the rhythm of an art project) as background and then sewing across it with a patterened stitch (the rhythm of sewing) that reminds me of a Greek pattern that makes me think of Greek line dancing (the rhythm of the dance - I know it's a stretch, but it's how my thought process went).

The pounding waves seem enless to me. I played with this photo in Photoshop - it's a picture I took in Italy a few years ago.

My daughter asked me last summer why I bought a used ballet slipper at an antique store - the answer is, to take pictures of it and use it for photo collages, of course. This week's Every Inchie Monday's theme is dance, I immediately thought of my ballet shoe.

Today's word is "cosmic." I used a copper clay star I made in my pmc class on a piece of fabric ith gold stars and swirls.
