My car looks like so many other cars, sometimes it's hard to spot in a parking lot. So, instead of tying a ribbon to the non-existent radio antenna, I decided to zentangle the crossbars. It was a fun, quick project - just a little time on a ladder with an industrial strength Sharpie.
My friend Lorrie Abdo has started a series of interviews with other artists on her blog.Lorrie is a very talented paper artist and you should visit her blog (even when I'm not on it; but going there now for my interview would be nice...). Lorrie plans to interview artists regularly and I am honored to be her second interview (check her archives for her November 22 interview with Gera Scott Chandler).
I currently have a very long To Do list (both for pesky real life stuff and art projects), so I'm dealing with it by playing with zentangles. I've played with them before, but thanks to my friend Catherine and last December's article in Cloth Paper Scissors by Sandy Steen Bartholomew, I added shading and color to my doodling. It's rather soothing and comforting, but it didn't get anything knocked off the To Do list.
